Ingredients: For the dough: 1 tablespoon butter, softened 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1 egg white 1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted 1/4 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract For the filling: 1/3 cup flour 2 tablespoons butter 1/5 cup sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon For the buttercream: 1 cup butter 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup white sugar For the cheese: 1 small egg 1/16 teaspoon salt For the egg roll: 2 tablespoons powdered sugar 2 tablespoons white sugar 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon Directions: In a large bowl, mix together the butter, flour, sugar, and butter.

Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

Cover and chill for 1 hour, or overnight.

For the frosting: In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Add in the egg and cinnamon and beat on medium-high speed until blended.

Reduce speed to low and add in the vanilla extract.

Beat until smooth and fluffy.

Using an electric mixer, cream the butter on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Gradually add in flour until combined, about 1 minute.

Add sugar and cinnamon.

Beat on medium low speed until combined.

Add powdered sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter and beat until combined and smooth.

Beat in the remaining egg.

Divide dough into 8 equal portions, and roll each piece into a log about 1/32 inch thick.

Cut each log into wedges about 1 1/6 inches long.

Cut wedges into 1 inch wedges and fill each wedge with a scoop of the filling.

Drizzle the filling onto each wedge.

Serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar on top and enjoy!

Notes: I did not include the cinnamon, so be sure to use a cinnamon stick.

The filling is not a substitute for butter.
