Pizza dough recipe | Pizza dough video
The pizza dough dough recipe is a favorite with pizza lovers because of its unique texture and taste.
Here are a few of the things you’ll need for a good pizza dough: Ingredients 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon baking soda 1/3 cup cold water 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for frying Instructions Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
In a small bowl, combine the olive oil and water.
Stir the dry ingredients until they’re well blended.
Add the flour mixture to the dry ingredient and stir well.
Set the dough aside.
Heat the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the dough, about 3 minutes on each side.
Remove from the heat and add the olive butter and flour mixture.
Continue cooking the dough for about 2 minutes, or until the dough is nice and soft.
(It should be a light brown color.)
Sprinkle the dough with salt.
(This will add extra flavor.)
Remove the dough from the pan and place in the refrigerator to rise.
While the dough rises, make the filling.
In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together the butter, flour, and egg yolks.
Add a little more flour if needed.
Stir in the salt and baking soda.
(You want it slightly lumpy, not as soft.)
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface, knead with your hands, and knead again for about 1 minute.
Cover the dough tightly with plastic wrap and let rise in the fridge for 10 minutes.
While it’s rising, make your dough.
In an electric mixer, cream the butter with the flour.
Add in the egg yolk mixture and beat until well combined.
Add one tablespoon of the remaining flour and beat again.
Add about 2 tablespoons of the flour mix to the butter and egg mixture and continue to mix until well mixed.
Add another tablespoon of flour to the egg mixture, and continue mixing until the mixture is smooth.
(The dough should be very sticky.)
Transfer to a floured work surface and kneed again until it forms a ball.
(Don’t over knead.)
Shape into a ball and cut into 8 pieces.
Divide the dough evenly among 8 individual bowls.
Place in the prepared pizza pans.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees F. Transfer to the oven rack and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for 5 minutes and then slice into 8 squares.
